2008 FLAM DISTINGUISHED FOREIGN LANGUAGE EDUCATOR NAMED


Region seven Lisa Lilley was honored at the fall 2008 conference as our state foreign language distinguished educator. She is currently teaching in the IB program at Central High School in Springfield and has taught all levels of Spanish from middle school Spanish I to high school IB upper level. She is a 17-year master teacher and currently also serves as Curriculum Development Committee Chair for Foreign languages for Springfield Public District.
Lisa earned both her B.A. in Spanish and Political Science and her M.Ed. in Secondary Education From Drury University. She is a frequent presenter on the district, state and regional level and received "Best of Missouri" distinction in 2005. Long time member of FLAM, Lisa currently serves on the board as region seven representative.
Lilley frequently travels abroad with students and will lead a teacher-group to Costa Rica in the summer of 2009. She is our current state-face of the "best in world language instruction." We are wishing her every positive thought for being selected as Central State Teacher of the Year to be announced in Chicago in March. Congratulations, Lisa, you make us all look good!
