As school winds down to a close there is much to be celebrated. With relation to the Seal of Biliteracy, Missouri districts have so far awarded exactly 150 Seals: 120 Spanish, 8 Distinguished Spanish, 3 German, 1 Distinguished German, 12 French, 1 Mandarin and 5 Russian. Every year the Foreign Language Association of Missouri receives nominations for a variety of awards and grants that distinguish educators of foreign language as well as friends and future language aficionados.
